National Read a Book Day!
I'm not sure how it escaped my awareness that there was a National Read a Book Day and that it was today, but if there's one celebration I can wholeheartedly get on board with, albeit last minute, it's one involving books.
However, I do find it kind of rude that I had to work on National Read a Book Day and will be filing a complaint once I find out exactly where to direct it.
For those of you who were lucky to be able to spend the day reading, congratulations, you now get to enjoy ⤵️
▪️ lower stress (this one is reason enough!)
▫️a longer life ⌛
▪️lower risk of dementia & Alzheimer's 🧠
▫️ improved sleep (debatable - just one more chapter, you say? 🤔)
▪️stronger relationships (mhmmm 🔥)
▫️increased success 🏆
▪️community! (ahem, book club, anyone?)
All of those things are infinitely better than spending the day at work! I hope today's reads were five stars!
