Get ready to fall in love with this incredible and whimsical cast of characters! They were adorable, hilarious, and full of wit. One, in particular, was also rather dashing. This story made me want to curl up by a fire and read all night long. I loved the way the books in Louella's bookstore played a role in the story and found the fictional book quotes at the start of each chapter to be so much fun.
Twig's Traveling Tomes a delightful cozy romantic fantasy, and while there is not any on-page spice beyond some rather passionate kissing and innuendo, it is certainly not without flavor! The tension and banter between Louella and Everett were so much fun to listen to.
Imogen Church was the ideal narrator, IMO, as each character was voiced uniquely and perfectly. I've never thought about what a blue-haired gnome's voice would sound like, but it's definitely like that. Gryffin Murphy's writing kept me immersed in the realm of the Four and its creatures and characters.
🗨️ If your books could talk to you, what would they say?
